What a solar AMC covers and why it matters

A standard solar AMC in Kerala covers scheduled on-site inspections conducted at planned intervals throughout the year. During each service visit, trained technicians perform deep cleaning of solar module glass using suitable water pressure and soft brushes to remove stubborn fungal growth, dust layers, and industrial residue without scratching anti-reflective coatings.

Beyond cleaning, an AMC provides rigorous electrical testing. Service engineers inspect direct current and alternating current cabling, check isolator switches, tighten loose terminal connections, and test surge protection devices. They measure open-circuit voltages and operating currents across each module string to detect underperforming panels or failing bypass diodes.

Inverter health is another cornerstone of regular AMC support. Technicians inspect internal cooling fans, clean air filters, verify ground resistance, and review recorded event logs for recurring fault warnings. They also test earthing continuity across chemical earth pits to ensure complete lightning and surge safety during Kerala’s intense thunderstorm seasons.

After every scheduled visit, technicians provide the property owner with a detailed maintenance checklist highlighting system condition and remedial recommendations.

Having an active AMC eliminates the uncertainty of finding qualified technicians during unexpected breakdowns. Regular preventative maintenance prevents minor wear from becoming costly equipment failure, ensures optimal solar generation, and protects your rooftop energy investment for decades to come.
